BigIndieBooks.com is dedicated to sharing as much as we can about the amazing books being published by small / indie / university presses. We curate content by finding interesting news and reviews about indie books and share them with you. And we don’t care when a book was published! In fact, we would love nothing more than to help you discover that small press gem that didn’t catch your eye during that short window of time just before and after publication that most traditional book sites focus on. Don’t get us wrong, we love books published by the corporate publishers, too; but let’s face it, they already have teams of individuals focused on getting the word out. Indie presses are often one or two individuals with a small budget working out of their home to bring you books that they love and that might not get published otherwise. We thank and salute the authors writing these amazing books, the publishers who are bringing them to the readers, and the many indie bookstores who champion the books and their authors.

We also are always looking for related content that fits our site and our mission, so if you have a review, feature, interview, or other fun stuff about indie books, indie publishers, or general book adoration, be sure to contact us with your pitch! At present, we are a volunteer website and do not pay for contributed content. But this is a great way for aspiring journalists to add to their CV and bibliophiles to share their love for books.
Indie / Small Press / University Publishers:
Although we do not accept reviews from publishers (you might be a little biased!), we do share news, excerpts, author interviews, cover reveals, book trailers and other book-specific content, so if it is a fit, contact us through our contact form or send an email to contact@bigindiebooks.com. Pitches should include “Pitch” in the subject and include the book title, publisher & genre. We only accept pitches for books that are published by independent, small press or university publishers.
Indie / Small Press / University Authors:
We do have several options for authors to contribute guest content, including Listicles, Guest Posts, and Playlists. Here are details on the options.
Self Publishers:
At present we are focused on small / indie / university press publications, but we do love self-publishers. Who knows what the future will bring as we may at some point add a special section for self-published works.
